Battle For Fort Chittor By Emperor Akbar
A 3D-enhanced small jigsaw cut for Nicki Barker, in push-fit style with line-cutting and an eccentric, unpredictable image. Nicki enthused, “A brilliantly cut 2-level puzzle by Rob Garner with bright colours for winter days. The sharp lines of this ancient illustration of the battle for Fort Chittor by the Emperor Akbar of the Mughals, lends itself perfectly to Rob’s fabulous colour-line cutting. Although it is a small puzzle at 372 pieces it is pure fun with its bright colours and unexpected juxtaposition of different elements. Only the thicker layer came together first, the rest in colour blocks which eventually found homes in what seemed the oddest places and the edge pieces last. Definitely one of Rob Garner’s five star puzzles!”
The jigsaw is the lower portion of illumination 154 of the Victoria & Albert Akbarnama, showing the capture of Fort Chittor in 1568 (and the burning of the Rajput women).
