Clowns of The Sandow Trocadero Vaudevilles

A ‘figure-it-out style’ shaped jigsaw from Rob Garner based on a poster of 1894 by Mucha. The 205pc jigsaw includes three figurals, R, heart and Rufus, and is line-cut and push-fit with shallow knobs. The poster shows The Clowns of the Sandow Trocadero Vaudevilles, directed by F. Ziegfeld Jr. The 11x11in jigsaw was no229 commissioned from Rob by Nicki (so very late).

Rob has removed the text, shadows, the juggler's balls a background man and the trapeze artist from the poster c1894. Another poster I found shows the Strongman Sandow lifting a human dumbell - a device with two baskets each holding a person. One location at which this poster was used was Boston Theatre, 2 weeks beginning April 29th, 1894 - details in a strip at the top.
