Australian Bush

Thought to be of c1920s manufacture this non-interlocking, solid wooden jigsaw puzzle was part of a collection from the Atkinson family, cut by and for the use of members of that family. When first tipped out on to my table this looked a very uninspiring collection of dull coloured pieces, but I was thrilled with the end result which proved surprisingly colourful and detailed.

The piece count recorded on the box is somewhat inaccurate, with an actual count of 507 rather than the recorded 705!
