Fiendishly challenging plywood jigsaw puzzle, comprising of 666 very small non-interlocking pieces, and featuring a beautiful avian study from British artist Keith Hope Shackleton (1923-2015), dated 1976 by his signature.

This is only the second puzzle that has ever defeated me. Oh, those pebbles! My patience ran out after several weeks, during which time I barely made any progress. Fortunately, being a member of the BCD gave me the opportunity of finding a willing guinea pig. Thank you so much, Emma! I know you don't like non-interlocking puzzles at all and have no desire to ever see this puzzle again, but I really appreciate your determination not to be beaten by it. Incidentally, Emma also resolved the first of my defeats. What a legend!
