Old Man in a Tree bored by a Bee

I gave three Owen Wood illustrations of Edward Lear’s limericks to Genest to cut in Figure-It-Out style. The titles were ‘Man in a Tree’, ‘The Lady of Ryde’, and ‘Man in a Kettle’. (This is a companion series to Puzzlewood’s four ‘Owl & the Pussycat’ jigsaws.)

They are brilliantly line-cut, with the dropouts of Man in a Tree being the most intricate. In this design the F-I-O jigsaw is 506pc and the full jigsaw with background & frame is 655pc. This is the second copy from the stack of two owned by Bronwen Lewis. The second copies were sold to benefit a French Covid charity.

There was an Old Man in a tree,
Who was horribly bored by a bee;
When they said, "Does it buzz?"
He replied, "Yes, it does!
It's a regular brute of a bee!"
