Tibetan Thangka

Genest has cut many jigsaws from a high-quality calendar of Tibetan religious art. This one was cut as a stack of two jigsaws in early 2017 and is the top copy.
The artwork is a 19-20thC Thangka representing Khasarpana Avalokiteshvara, the Bodhisattva of Infinite Compassion. Although it has fewer figures and is less anarchic than some of the other images (so perhaps a bit easier than them), the line-cutting is accurate (as ever) so it is still a difficult jigsaw. Edges mostly interlock through an inner piece. The pieces are small 1.4cm2/pc on average.
This is the largest Tibetan jigsaw (Jackie A) I’ve done to date. I was so proud of the achievement that I left it stacked between puzzle boards - then months later I forgot and overturned it, the pieces scattering on the floor (I fervently hope that none were lost!).
