Origins of Art, 400pc Fine Art Cut

From the Dreamton ‘Ukraine Fine Arts’ Range a stunning painting by Victor Zaretsky, The Origins of Art. This jigsaw uses the 400pc Fine Arts cut, with its shaped edge, diamond layout and neutral pieces. The image has also been made in the 400pc geometric maze cut (see photos).

Victor Zaretsky (1925-1990) from Ukraine’s Donbass region, trained in art after serving in the army during WWII. He was an artist and teacher who painted in the styles of neo-modernism (Art Nouveau and Klimt's Secession Movement) and realism. He married the human rights activist and artist Alla Gorskaya and suffered a double tragedy when his wife and his father both died in suspicious circumstances.
