Summer Gale, A

Solid mahogany-backed 251 piece wooden jigsaw puzzle from the uncommon British Geographia brand. The puzzle is cut in a very effective and unusual interlocking style and comes housed in a box with lift-off lid and stylish box-lid artwork.

It is believed to be of c1920s manufacture and features a painting by the artist Thomas Marie Madawaska Hemy (1852-1937), who was born aboard the ship S.S. Madawaska on route from Newcastle to Australia, although he returned to Newcastle as a young child.
