Partick West

Superbly thought out plywood jigsaw puzzle, cut by Andrew in January 2008 and featuring a very fine and detailed transport painting by Malcolm Root. The scene is described as "Passengers including shipyard workers disembark from a Cravens Diesel multiple unit at Partick West as a W.D. 2-8-0 locomotive passes on a freight train".

The cutting style is very largely interlocking, although there are some areas of push-fit pieces as well. Colour line cutting has been applied throughout and I particularly enjoyed the multiple changes in cutting direction to emphasize the perspective within the painting itself. The tracks and platform edges, along with the canopy sides demonstrate the care taken.

The puzzle comes housed in a tartan material bag with luggage-style details label.
