Stave

Stave Puzzles Inc. was founded in 1974 by Steve Richardson and Dave Tibbetts and continues to manufacture wooden jigsaw puzzles under the brand name "Stave". Based in Norwich, Vermont they are the largest American producer of hand-cut puzzles.

In addition to conventional products they specialise in "Teaser" and "Trick" puzzles, examples of which are illustrated. Many contain internal "drop-outs" to make them more challenging.

They come in deep, square blue and green boxes and are cut from 5-ply wood.
