AB Billingsfors-Långed

The Billingsfors paper mill in Sweden, founded originally as an iron manufacturing plant in 1738, is understood to have traded as AB Billingsfors-Långed from 1918.

They released several "with compliments from", fully interlocking plywood jigsaw puzzles, all featuring similarly styled paintings of the factory and surroundings. These are thought to date from the 1950's-1960's and were probably released as annual promotional gifts.

In addition to those currently displayed here, I am also aware of a further puzzle, entitled "Billingsfors Paper Mill", signed and dated by the artist Larz Friberg-66, the same artist responsible for most of the others. That example showed a different company lion design on its box logo to the others on display here. (See below)
