"Curiosity", or "Au the ponte de Rialto (Venice)"

Very fine quality, solid wooden jigsaw puzzle, branded by Paris book store Brentano's and featuring a painting by the Austrian artist Ludwig Passini (1832-1903). The scene depicts a large group peering over the bridge at a gondola which has just passed by. The label text is a hotchpotch of languages, quoting the scene as being Au the ponte de Rialto (Venice), As I have also seen this print carrying the title of Curiosity, I have chosen to use it here as an alternative.
The puzzle is cut in a semi-interlocking style and features widespread colour line-cutting. The solid wooden construction and box style lead me towards a date of c1915-1920 for its manufacture.
