Untitled-The Indian Romance

This fine puzzle features a painting by the popular American artist John Knowles Hare (1884-1947), whose work appeared on many magazine covers of the 1920's, often featuring his wife, the actress Gladys Granger as his model. This painting, signed by the artist and carrying a ©1911 date, is understood to have been the central panel of a triptych carrying the title The Indian Romance. The box for this puzzle is absent but the predominantly push-fit cutting style, along with the fifteen figural shapes, closely mirror those of the British brand of W.G. Evans who I believe would have marketed this puzzle shortly after WWI, probably around 1920.
