When East meets West

Possibly the largest available size in the "Expert" branded puzzles, this 1500 piece example features a very colourful and detailed painting by the British artist Mabel Dorothy Hardy (1868-1937).

The puzzle, estimated to be of c1925-1935 manufacture, is beautifully cut with careful colour line-cutting around most of the heads and headwear of the characters. It is housed in a very sturdy box with a faux reptile skin covering.

This print was also used by the American manufacturer Parker Brothers, as an 825 piece Pastime puzzle as well as appearing on Page 43 of one of British manufacturer Victory in 1938 catalogues, where it was listed by the alternative title of Life in Turkey.
