Probably of c 1930's manufacture, this quite simply-cut plywood jigsaw puzzle is my first example from this, presumably quite limited, brand name. The labelling and cut style seem to confirm close links to puzzles such as Fin du journée from the American Puzzle Moderne brand.
The painting is signed by the prolific French artist Xavier Sager, better known for his glamour and fashion paintings.
