Blue Bird (75 piece), The (later version)

Later version of Holtzapffel's famous "Blue Bird" puzzle, here seen in a 75 piece interlocking plywood format. The box lid, with its Walker & Holtzapffel Company name, signals a post 1932 manufacturing date. Interestingly, the checkers label found inside the box has pre 1922 Company name details. As the 78 piece count of the puzzle matches that of the label it seems likely that this must be an example of using up stationary from an earlier time.
