Turtle Riding into a Blue Lagoon

This unusual scene, painted by the British artist Charles Eddowes Turner (1883-1965), features this apparently once popular sport on the Great Barrier Reef of North Eastern Australia, of jumping on to the backs of giant turtles for a free ride into the sea!
The same print appears on this Delta Fine Cut example, also by AVN Jones.

The box lid for all of this series quotes six subjects being represented and here we can cross of that of "The Great Barrier Reef".
