Surrey

Intricately cut, semi-interlocking plywood jigsaw puzzle by Enid Stocken, estimated to be of c1960s-1970s manufacture. It features 25 of her characterful figural shaped pieces, or whimsies, combined with her usual flair for colour line-cutting, particularly around the numerous county and town crests and other key features. The compass carries a 1964 notation along with initials, possibly C J, but I have not been able to find any further information to corroborate this.

This puzzle was taken to the BCD meeting in Shalford, near Guildford, Surrey in June 2023, but proved just a little bit too challenging to complete on the day, so came home with me for the finishing touches!
