Ceylon-her Tea and other industries

Beautifully crafted interlocking plywood jigsaw puzzle, cut by the great British cutter Enid Stocken and featuring a huge number of her classic cutting features. Colour line-cutting has been executed at almost every available opportunity, including many of the place names, and there are 139 figure shapes as well. This puzzle was taken to the BCD Weekend House Party in February 2015 where a group of three or four keen puzzlers commenced its assembly. Twenty four hours later, only the red border and some of the main features were together, so it came home with me to attempt completion. It finally came together some three weeks later!!!
The colourful artwork is one of the notable graphic artist MacDonald Gill's superb pictorial map designs, believed to be of c1933 origins and featuring Ceylon, along with her teas, other industries, wildlife and key locations.
