Hireling Shepherd, The

Very large and challenging plywood jigsaw puzzle, cut for the library by Eric Bond in a totally non-interlocking, or push-fit style. He has applied remarkably accurate cutting along almost all conceivable colour divisions.

The superb and incredibly detailed 1851 painting is by the British artist William Holman Hunt (1827-1910), one of the founding members of the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood.
