Old Ironsides on a Lee Shore (U.S.S. Constitution)

308 piece fully interlocking plywood jigsaw puzzle featuring a dramatic seascape study of "The ship U.S. Frigate Constitution, Captain Elliott, weathering Scilly, on her return from France with Edward Livingstone on board on the night of May 11th 1835". The artwork is described as being "Drawn on Stone by A. Hoffy from a painting by J. Evans", the original print being "Courtesy of The Philadelphia Museum and The E. Newbold Smith Collection".

This ship is the oldest commissioned warship still afloat, the third of six frigates authorized for construction by the Navy Act-1794, launched in 1797 and usually berthed at Pier 1, Boston National Historical Park, Charlestown Navy Yard.
