Ravensburger

Established in 1883 as a publishing company in Ravensburg, Germany by Otto Robert Maier, the familiar blue triangle logo was registered in 1900. Puzzle production began in 1964 when the company opened subsidiaries in several European countries including the UK. An updated blue "kite mark" logo inscribed with Ravensburger in white has been used from 1999.

In 1996 it purchased rival German puzzle maker FX Schmid which had run into financial difficulties.

Ravensburger AG has become one of the largest producers of high quality card puzzles in modern times with a vast number available in a very wide range of subjects and sizes, up to 18000 pieces.
