Irish Setter

36-piece double thickness plywood jigsaw puzzle which assembles in its tray-style box and features a fine canine study by an unidentified artist. I estimate this puzzle to be of c1953-1960 manufacture.

As with many other examples the puzzle carries some areas of raised dotted lines, most notably around the dog's ears, limbs and tail. There are also some on the lower edge of the print, possibly a partial braille interpretation of the expanded title "THE IRISH SETTER. As intelligent as he is handsome".
