Kangaroo

Interlocking, dual thickness plywood jigsaw puzzle in tray-style box and featuring a raised dot relief on some of the main subject features.

This is thought to be an earlier example, probably of c1930s-1940s manufacture and features a painting signed by the famous German wildlife illustrator Wilhelm Kuhnert (1865-1926). The print is understood to have appeared in the c1910 publication "Wildlife of the World". The box carries a brand identity of "National Institute for the Blind". They received a Royal charter in 1948, going on to change name in 1953 to the Royal National Institute for the Blind.
