In the Days of Old

This super plywood jigsaw perfectly demonstrates the Super-Cut style of cutting, where all the main character of the print has been carefully colour line-cut out of the background, before being expertly dissected into smaller push-fit pieces. Much scarcer than their standard Academy cousins, these are far more challenging to assemble and beautiful to admire.
The print is unsigned, although interestingly the inn sign states The Bay Horse Inn by J. Brown, so maybe that was the name of the artist. Unfortunately there are too many of that name to make an identification.
