Along with Chad Valley and Victory, Salmon's Academy range of jigsaw puzzles represented a very large share of wooden puzzle production during the period 1920-1950's. The company still continues to operate from it's premises in Sevenoaks, Kent, although puzzle production ceased some years ago.
A 2011 discovery of a Salmon puzzle of Ightham Mote, Kent, has shown an almost certain link between this Kent-based Company and the Zig-Zag puzzle Company from London.
