British Wildlife

A fantastic 1200-piece plywood jigsaw puzzle, cut by Sara White in January 1997, and featuring another beautiful wildlife study by the British artist Ken Lilly (1929-1996). This artist was also behind the artwork for the Sara White puzzle Garden Birds, a puzzle which was much enjoyed at a 2023 BCD gathering in Coventry.

This "British Wildlife" example was also taken to that same venue for the 2026 BCD House Party event, going on to give immense satisfaction to those who became involved in its lengthy assembly! Thank you to all who took part. I am sorry that some of you had to leave before it was completed but hope these images will act as some reward for your valiant efforts, as well as acting as a reminder of a great weekend.

The puzzle includes 22 very cleverly cut whimsies, or figural shapes, mostly wildlife-themed, although she has also included three domestic cats which she so frequently places within her puzzles. The fox figural carries her name and cutting date.
