Stanley Gibbons Stamp Jig-Saw Puzzle

Showing a copyright date of December 14th 1933, this very uncommon plywood puzzle was produced right in the midst of a time when British wooden jigsaw manufacture was at its height. Stanley Gibbons, World renowned for their stamp collecting businesses, probably saw this as an opportunity worthy of development. Many other Company's also saw this opening and probably commissioned some of the well-known manufacturers to make them for them. In this case, the cutting is unlike anything I have previously seen, and given that the surface is made up of a selection of actual franked stamps, my guess is that this puzzle was made in house at Stanley Gibbons Ltd., London address.
Very few examples have been seen, so production was probably quite short-lived.
