Studio Picture Puzzle

Relatively limited production British brand of wooden jigsaw puzzles, believed to be primarily of c1920-1930 manufacture, but possibly as early as 1916. These are true gems of the jigsaw world, brilliantly cut in a very challenging combination of styles. Primarily fully interlocking borders, surround semi-interlocking pieces, with main subject areas cut in the push-fit style and very carefully colour line-cut at almost every opportunity. Boxes are plain with a diagonally printed lid and hand written title and piece count appear on the simply laid out side label.

These are superb puzzles, usually featuring excellent print quality, beautifully cut and are believed to date from c1920-1930, but possibly as early as 1916.
