Castle Baby, The

85 piece push-fit plywood jigsaw puzzle, estimated to be of c1920s manufacture and featuring a portrait study, understood to be of Susanna Cecilia Dingley, Mrs Richard Hoare (1743-1795) and her daughter Susanna Cecilia Hoare (d.1768) (after Sir Joshua Reynolds).
Unusually, this puzzle also included a separate full scale guide picture in the box. Whether this was standard practice or not is uncertain.
This example also shows a likely manufacturing mistake, whereby one left edge piece appears to belong to another example of the same puzzle, indicating a stack cutting method and mix up between two puzzles as they were packaged.
