Child's Bath, The

Probably of skilled-amateur cutting status, this 165 piece predominantly interlocking-cut plywood jigsaw puzzle includes the letters J and E, along with eight further special shaped pieces. The charming painting is by the American-born artist Mary Stevenson Cassatt (1844-1926), who spent much of her adult life in France under the tutelage of and influenced by such artists as Jean-Léon Gérôme and Edgar Degas. She is best known for her studies of the bond between mother and child.
