Battle of Dettingen, The

Because of its very muted colours, this proved an incredibly challenging plywood jigsaw puzzle, cut in the non-interlocking, or push-fit style and including accurate colour line-cutting throughout. The puzzle has been cut down the centre-line, which appears to show that the original print came from a magazine centre-fold.
I am grateful to PD for supplying the following information, regarding artist and scene. The painting is by Lionel Edwards, RI (British 1878-1966) and depicts King George II at the Battle of Dettingen during the war of the Austrian Succession.
