Harlequin and Columbine

The manufacturing origins of this 300 piece push-fit plywood jigsaw puzzle are unknown, but its quality is undeniable and its cutting style very challenging.
The beautiful artwork is believed to be by the British illustrator Thomas Mackenzie (1887-1944) and appears to have been a cover for a British magazine although I have not yet been able to identify the publication concerned. Please let me know if you can help. Thank you.
Alas the puzzle had suffered rather in its earlier life with various areas of paper loss and a total of ten missing pieces, but work was undertaken to try and restore it to a semblance of its original beauty and the images will show you the results achieved.
