Politeness

This truly charming Art Deco image has been carefully cut around the outlines of the romantic couple before being well cut in an interlocking style with some very careful colour line-cutting around facial features. The effect created around eyes and mouths actually seems to have added to the overall charm of the puzzle. Very clever!
The presence of a single windmill-shaped figural piece matches the style of one other puzzle from the collection, that of An Elizabethan Home. Both puzzles were housed in similarly labelled drawstring bags. The box shown in the last image is a modern container to house this really rather special puzzle, whilst the image of the reverse side of the puzzle shows the mounting material used, probably ply from a shipping chest.
