Tom Thumb

Believed to be of c1950-1960's manufacture, this non-interlocking plywood jigsaw puzzle proved very challenging indeed to assemble without a guide picture. The puzzle is accurately colour line-cut throughout.
I have not been able to identify the source of the colourful artwork, which appears to depict General Tom Thumb, complete with floral display backdrop, whilst standing in a field of primroses! Maybe an artist's wedding impression for his 1863 marriage to Lavinia Warren.
