Les Deux Grâces d'après Botticelli

Bought new c1970, this is another wonderful example of the blending of fine art with superbly executed puzzle cutting. The painting is just a small section of Sandro Botticelli's masterpiece Venus and the Three Graces Presenting Gifts to a Young Woman, housed in Musée du Louvre in Paris.
A fully interlocking border surrounds the predominantly push-fit centre, with abundant colour line-cutting and a subtle blend of colours helping to make a very challenging puzzle to assemble.
This puzzle also features as the centrepiece of Page 17 of this Vera catalogue from the literature section.
