Régates à Pinmill

This wonderful creation from Puzzle Vera, has been described to me as the most challenging ever attempted. This from a family dedicated to taking on some of the most complex puzzles around. Showing as 1800 pieces on the box, the puzzle actually contains considerably more, totalling 2300 in fact.
The painting, by the popular British marine artist, Frank Henry Mason (1875-1965), is entitled Pin Mill on the Orwell.
A very large number of almost identically shaped pieces, with minimal colour variation made the sky into a fiendish task, but the overall effect of the finished jigsaw proved worthy of the challenge.
