Champ de tulipes (gravure anglaise), Le

Beautiful example of the artistry of this top French manufacturer, featuring the effective combination of push-fit centre and interlocking border, coupled with colour line-cutting throughout, often sympathetic to the area, such as cloud-shapes in the sky areas and angular pieces in the buildings. Thought to date from the early-mid 1970's and carrying an English title in the lower left corner which reads, The Bend of the Canal. The painting is unsigned, but also features in this Ponda jigsaw puzzle from a similar era.
