Danish Invaders (Historical)

This large Super-Cut puzzle from Victory features another painting from the Building of Britain series of artworks commissioned for the Palace of Westminster and more correctly titled King Alfred's Longships Defeat the Danes 877.
This painting was by the British artist Colin Gill(1892-1940) and was commissioned to show the importance of a Naval defence force to the country, depicting King Alfred's medieval longships defeating the supply ships of the Danish invaders.
