Royal Procession, A

Wonderful example of the Super-Cut series which features widespread colour line-cutting and a superb selection of figure-shaped pieces or Whimsies, along with their familiar wavy-edge. The print is a chromo-lithographic process copy of a painting completed in 1894 by the British artist Arthur John Elsley (1860-1952) and was more correctly titled The Happy Pair (A Royal Procession).
This beautiful image was popular amongst puzzle manufacturers of the era and can also be seen here in this 200 piece example from the 1920's.
