Couer de Lion and His Crusaders (Historical)

Excellent interlocking plywood jigsaw puzzle from the Gold Box-Artistic series, featuring a painting by Glyn Warren Philpot portraying the incorrectly spelt Couer de Lion, or King Richard I leaving England for the Crusades in 1189.
The French speaking King of England, often referred to as Richard cœur de lion is best known in Britain as Richard the Lionheart. This name was attributed to him, even before his accession due to his reputation in battle.
This was one of eight paintings commissioned by the Palace of Westminster in a series representing The Building of Britain.
See also Union with Scotland, and King John Assents to the Magna Carta by Fortnum & Mason, along with this Super-Cut Series version which features this same painting.
Thanks to Jacques Vélu for supplying details and photographs of this impressive puzzle.
