Riverside, Stratford on Avon (Outdoor), The

Unusual variation on the standard for Gold Box puzzles, which features a contoured upper edge. The puzzles is from a photographic print featuring two BSA motorbikes with their riders and pillion passenger, posing adjacent to the River Avon at Stratford.
This puzzle came with a tale, promoting it as having been given to BSA factory workers in the 1950's. I cannot corroborate this, but the presence of the contour-cut upper edge could have been requested as a cost-cutting exercise, which might fit with it being made as a give-away.
Sadly the print has a lacquer type surface which, over time has started to flake and lift from the print surface, nonetheless this super puzzle is a great reminder of a time gone by.
