Union with Scotland. (Historical)

Large plywood puzzle from the Victory Gold Box Artistic series of puzzles, from a painting by Walter Thomas Monnington which was one of eight paintings commissioned by the Palace of Westminster in a series representing The Building of Britain. Several others in the series are also known to have featured in Gold Box puzzles. See Couer de Lion and His Crusaders and King John Assents to the Magna Carta by Fortnum & Mason, for further examples from this fabulous set of Historical paintings.
This particular scene features The English and Scottish commissioners presenting articles of agreement for the Parliamentary Union of the two countries to Queen Anne at St James' Palace in July 1707.
