Squire's Visit, The

Featuring a painting by the popular British artist Heywood Hardy (1842-1933), this 400 piece interlocking plywood jigsaw puzzle, housed in a hinge-lidded box, is thought to date from the late 1920's-early 1930's and incorporates eight fine quality Whimsies, or figural shapes.
This style of puzzle cutting and box was the forerunner to the very popular Gold Box range which followed shortly afterwards.
