Untitled-Taj Mahal (Version 1)

This beautiful painting of the Taj Mahal, regarded as one of the eight great wonders of the world, is unsigned and has also featured on puzzles from various other makers of the c1920's-1930's era. This Chad Valley version is one such example, along with a puzzle from Victory's own Gold Box Super-Cut series.
This particular puzzle came housed in an old Holtzapffel box, the description of the whimsies, or figural shaped pieces implying that it has been with this box for some time, although it was clearly not cut by Holtzapffel. My view is that this comes from the pre Gold Box days of Victory. The cutting style is certainly reminiscent of them and the relatively small number of special shapes also fits with this era.
Brian Price has now suggested that this puzzle is quite likely to be a 1932-catalogued puzzle reference number 500/4. Thank you Brian.
