Untitled-10000

This small plywood puzzle, which assembles in its tray-style box with colour guide picture, is untitled on the box but the T.E. North painting features the LNER locomotive 10000, originally constructed in 1929 as Britain's first to use a high-pressure water-tube boiler but later on in 1936, to be refitted with a standard boiler. The painting here is thought to date from the c1936 refit era. This particular example of the puzzle has a rather faded price label, but appears to show a price of 3/-. This, according to Brian Price's records of Victory puzzles indicates a date of c1959.
