'Paint Palette' Box Series

A set of ten 500-piece puzzles covering a wide range of subjects packed in mainly red boxes 10" x 8" featuring a 'paint palette' motif.

Puzzles inscribed "Registered No. 830942" round the circumference which referred to Waddington's registered design number for circular jigsaws, although their rights to this had expired.

All were made in the mid 1950's and originally cost from 5/3 to 5/9 each (26¼p - 28¾p).
