Crossing Sweepers, The

250-piece plywood jigsaw puzzle, cut in the Chandos semi-interlocking style and featuring another very fine wartime painting by the British artist Charles Pears (1873-1958), quoting on the box label, "From a painting by CHAS. PEARS, R.O.I., for the Northern Aluminium Company Ltd."

The box front shows that the print was published by A.V.N. Jones, whilst the side label confirms manufacture to have been by Frederick Warne & Co. Ltd. London, W.C.2.
