From a painting by C.E. Montford, this cardboard interlocking puzzle was produced at a time, long before the World's highest peak was finally conquered.
Carries the following inscription in the upper left:
MOUNT EVEREST ON THE BORDERS OF NEPAL AND TIBET, IS THE HIGHEST MOUNTAIN IN THE WORLD, RISING TO APPROXIMATELY 29,002-FT OR 5 1/2-MILES. MANY ATTEMPTS HAVE BEEN MADE TO CONQUER EVEREST, BUT NO EXPEDITION HAS SO FAR REACHED THE SUMMIT.
