Titmouse Family, The

Very fine quality laser-cut plywood jigsaw puzzle, produced by Wentworth c1998 and featuring a beautifully detailed painting by the British wildlife artist Archibald Thorburn. Seven species illustrated: long-tailed, marsh, bearded, crested, blue, great and bearded tits.

David Shearer comments: "I must congratulate the designers of this puzzle as, without referring to the guide picture, it took me a surprisingly long time to piece together, far longer than I would ordinarily expect a 250 piece Wentworth puzzle to take. Very stylish whimsies, a largely light-coloured background and quite an angular cutting style, all contributed to this challenge, with some of the special shapes being comprised of several smaller pieces".
